After four sellout years in a row our award winning team returned with I Have to Leave My House.

In this show we joined Mouse on a journey across the world, in this wonderful mish-mash of music, storytelling and dance.

Mouse has been having a little trouble with cat, who claws and clambers and cackles at mouse all day long. So Mouse has decided to find a new home, a journey that takes Mouse across the globe to different environments, each one more exotic, exciting and perilous than the last!

This interactive performance featured new orchestral music and plenty of family favourites to sing and clap along to. Performed by composer Jack Ross and our award-winning orchestra, live music sat alongside live choreography and dance performed by David Ogle and art projections by illustrator Leah Harrison Bailey. The show was fully BSL interpreted and was based on the story I Have To Leave My House, written by Hazel Gould especially for this show.

After the show we offered families the chance to take part in more musical, movement and artistic activities with Sinfonia Viva's musicians. Alongside this Rolls-Royce offered some amazing activities utilising their technological apparatus to engage families in ideas around renewable energy and the challenges our planet is currently facing. As in previous years, every child received a book of the story and a download code for the music recorded by Viva musicians. Feedback from this has always been extremely positive as it allows the children to relive the performance again and again, (whilst probably driving the adults up the wall!)
