Take some time out for yourself and join us to sing choral favourites, songs from the shows and pop classics. Make new friends, or bring someone along with you. Join like-minded people and try something new, in a relaxed and supportive environment. Our choirs are run with carers in mind, but you don't have to be a carer to sing with us, just someone who enjoys singing, or if you thought you would like to give singing a go for fun or want to try something new and meet more people. We are a really friendly bunch and would love to have you join us.
Come and join us in-person and online. We offer in-person choir sessions in Derby and Chesterfield and you can join our choir and sing online wherever you are! Our singing sessions take place on a Tuesday evening with opportunities to perform across the year.
We have been learning new songs and having a great time doing so. Meeting as a choir really lifts the spirits of everyone attending each week and during lockdown the choir wrote and recorded this music video. The video went on to feature on BBC Radio Derby and BBC East Midlands Today.
We have really enjoyed writing and performing a new song with Preetha Narayanan and got to perform this with the full orchestra of Sinfonia Viva at their 40th Anniversary Concert in May 2022 at Derby Cathedral. We have lots more planned, so do come and join us. Click on the choirs for Derby and Chesterfield below for more details. Please contact [email protected] if you are interested in joining. Don't forget you can join our choir and sing online with us wherever you are based.
Sing Viva conductors are: Caroline Swaby (Derby Sing Viva) Peter Lack (Derbyshire Sing Viva) David Lawrence (Sinfonia Viva Choral Advisor)
Sing Viva is kindly funded and supported by Awards for All, Asda Foundation, East Midlands Airport Community Fund, Orchestras Live and Derbyshire County Council.
