Margaret Cookhorn

Margaret Cookhorn has been a Sinfonia Viva Trustee since November 2020. She is Principal Contrabassoon and bassoon with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and has also played with many of the UK’s leading orchestras. She is a tutor at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and a Woodwind Coach at the University of Birmingham.

She has also been a presenter twice on the BBC Radio 3 programme ‘Inside Music’ and was guest host of ’Sunday Night Scala In The Orchestra’ on Scala Radio.
