Robin Wood is Sinfonia Viva's longest-serving Trustee.  He is CEO of Victoria College of Music and Drama, London, and is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Musicians.  A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and a Member of the Royal Society of Musicians of Great Britain, he holds an Honorary Doctor of Law degree.  An elected member of Derby City Council between 1979 and 2023 he has held the office of Mayor of the City three times.  He is a founding trustee of Disability Direct, and has held a number of public appointments including chairmanships of the Independent Monitoring Boards of two of HM Prisons. Robin lives with his husband, Andy Flint, and, as well as enjoying musical performances, he appreciates real ale.
