Melodic Moments: Enriching Lives Through Music
From Tuesday 17 to Tuesday March 2026, donations made to Sinfonia Viva will be DOUBLED as part of the Big Give's Arts for Impact campaign, up to a maximum of £6,750, thanks to match funding.
Introduction
Help us bring moments of musical joy to people living with dementia and other life-limiting conditions. Engaging with music is a powerful way to reduce isolation, improve wellbeing and help people communicate. Our inclusive concerts are shaped by participants, bringing joy to them and their carers.
From midday on Tuesday 17 March until midday on Tuesday 24 March 2026, you can make a difference to the lives of people living with dementia and other life-limiting conditions by donating to keep the project going.
Your donation will create welcoming spaces, moments of joy and connection, exceptional live performances, and help reduce isolation.
AND…Every donation made through the campaign will be doubled, with the Big Give matching £1 for £1, until we reach our £13,500 target. So please give what you can because it goes twice as far!

Situation
People living with dementia and other life-limiting conditions can face real challenges in engaging with their communities. This can lead to loneliness, isolation, and further decline in their mental wellbeing. They face many barriers to taking part in group activities. Like communication difficulties, lack of appropriate transport, unsuitable or overly stimulating spaces, and limited opportunities that meet their specific needs and place them, and their carers, at the heart of the activities.
Solution
Here at Sinfonia Viva, our Melodic Moments are relaxed performances designed to help people living with dementia and other life-limiting conditions and their carers experience the many benefits of live music. Each curated event features live music, presentation, visual aids, and additional stimuli around a theme. Audience consultation shapes the events, including the musical content. This approach creates an inclusive and supportive environment, reducing loneliness, improving wellbeing, and creating moments of joy.

Our target
We want to raise £13,500 for Melodic Moments. If we don’t meet our campaign target, we’ll have to scale back the number of concerts we deliver, meaning fewer people living with dementia and other life-limiting conditions and their carers will benefit. If we exceed our target, we’ll be able to expand the programme further, increasing the number of events , and supporting even more people to experience joy and connection through music.
