2025 marks 100 years since the birth of television. Our traditional New Year’s Eve concert looks ahead to celebrate this and will be packed full of familiar music from iconic TV shows and adverts.
From the dramatic Force of Destiny Overture (remember the Stella Artois advert?) to the stirring melodies of Downton Abbey, this concert brings together tunes that spark memories and joy.
Conductor Nicholas Kok will bring his warmth and passion to a night of nostalgia. Look forward to classics such as the Liberty Bell March (Monty Python) and Danse Macabre (Jonathan Creek), along with the traditional Viennese waltzes and a heartfelt Auld Lang Syne to bring in the New Year.
The concert is timed to fit perfectly into New Year’s Eve, however you choose to celebrate. The music starts at 6pm and finishes at 8.15pm, so you can enjoy time with friends and family afterwards or get home to watch the fireworks.
Extravagant, fun and steeped in tradition: Join the festivities at Nottingham’s favourite New Year’s Eve celebration.
