Afternoon Concert

Bridlington

Global Rhythms

Thursday 26 September 2024

2pm

Join us for a relaxed afternoon of music to lift your spirits, make your heart sing and put a spring in your step. This concert explores music inspired by dancing. Let your toes tap and shoulders sway as the music dances its way through the deep south of America, the sultry rhythms of South America and across the boulevards and ballrooms of Europe. With a selection of music touching every mood from exuberance to elegance and the gently domestic to the quirkily witty, you will find music to captivate and delight.

Our journey across the musical globe encounters the rich melodies and infectious rhythms of Tango, Waltz, Blues, Quickstep, and even a Charleston! Whether you know these dances from a TV show, are a lifelong music lover, or are just curious to find out what 5 wind instruments can do, this is the perfect concert for you.

The concert is presented by Caroline Welsh. Her informal approach makes it ideal for all, from concert regulars to those living with dementia or who have other additional access needs. Following the concert, the audience are invited to join Caroline and Sinfonia Viva for informal conversation and refreshments. A warm welcome and an outstanding afternoon of entertainment awaits you.

Running time: 1 hour concert followed by refreshments with Sinfonia Viva.

End time: 3.45pm
