Big Give – Arts for Impact

With your help we can inspire children’s creativity through music

For the Big Give Arts for Impact Campaign this March we have set a target of raising £10,000 to help us provide more music experiences to more children throughout the East Midlands – particularly children whose access to music is limited for various reasons. Every donation made via our Big Give Campaign page during this period will be doubled, up to a maximum of £5,000.

How Your Support Can Help

We know access to live music and music making can transform young lives. It can build skills and confidence, raise aspirations, create a sense of belonging and spark moments of joy. But access to music isn’t equal for all children.

We want to create more life-changing opportunities for children and young people who face challenges in their day to day lives. With your help, Sinfonia Viva will introduce over 2,000 children and young people in the East Midlands to the joy of live music next year, many for the first time. We have plans to:

• Increase the number of children, young people and families across the East Midlands accessing high quality, inspiring, and inclusive performances delivered in areas with little access to arts and culture.

• Provide school children in areas of socio-economic deprivation with creative music making workshops that also support their learning and engagement with the wider curriculum, specifically science and maths.

• Deliver live performances and bespoke 1:1 creative activities in special schools across the region, supporting personal, emotional and communication development for children with Special Educational Needs.

• Enhance our existing training offer for teachers, empowering and enabling them to maintain music provision beyond our projects, and ensuring children continue to benefit from music making and creative learning.

Between 18 – 25 March every donation made via our Big Give Campaign page will be doubled, so your gift goes a long way!

Every donation that is made is match funded, so giving £10 means we get £20 towards our £10,000 goal.
