From October, we’ll be back with our biggest concert series in Derby since before the pandemic, with evening concerts, afternoon concerts and family shows at Derby Cathedral and the Museum of Making.

We’re still finalising the finer details, but we can reveal some exciting news about the first big concert in the season on Saturday 9 November at Derby Cathedral.

Choral beauty and virtuoso violins will combine in a concert of timeless compositions by Baroque masters Bach and Vivaldi. Vivaldi’s ethereal Gloria is the climax of the evening. Before that, enjoy the vibrancy of two of Bach’s perkiest pieces - Brandenburg Concerto no.3 and his celebrated Concerto for Two Violins (“double violin”).

We’re joined by Derby Cathedral Choir, Sophie Rosa (violin), Peter Liang (violin), Zoe Brookshaw (soprano) and Ciara Hendrick (mezzo) for one of Derby’s must-see musical events of the year.

Put the date in your diary and sign-up to our newsletter to make sure you’re first in the queue for your tickets when they go on sale this summer.
